Richard Melnicoff is a business and IT strategy consultant with twenty-five years of consulting experience and eight years of industry experience. He was Global Managing Partner for Accenture’s EnterpriseArchitecture practice, managing a practice of 450+ people. He also had leadership positions in Accenture’s Business Strategy Practice and its Strategic IT Effectiveness Practice. He has served clients in a broad cross-section of industries.
As a consultant, Mr. Melnicoff’s areas of focus include business strategy projects focused on top line growth and strategic planning. Mr. Melnicoff also has significant experience in a broad range of areas related to the IT function and technology, including IT strategy development, software selection, internet-driven business strategy, governance, organization design, andpost-merger integration of IT systems and organizations.Mr. Melnicoff is the author of a US patent for an analytical technique linking IT strategy to share price.
In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Melnicoff has also held executive positions in the IT services and electronic hardware industries. Prior to joining Accenture, he held senior management positions at Control Data Systems, Evernet Systems, and Computerland Corporation. Earlier, he spent five years with consultancy Booz, Allen and Hamilton focusing on strategy, marketing, product development, and information technology issues.
Mr. Melnicoff earned a BS in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He holds two US patents for new consulting methods and analytical techniques.
